The first two events of the WFM Bike series ’Whistler Sessions’ are done and dusted. Super stoked with the turnout and progression, over 35 ladies came out to work on their dirt jump skills at our first two events.

After warming up on the pump tracks or rollers, groups worked on their basic jump techniques and got comfortable before moving on with the skills progressions. All levels were present from first timers to the ladies wanting to send the black line and work their style/tricks. Smiles all around!

Marcel Hunt was on hand to help out, beside being an exceptional rider he is a great coach. Helping the ladies overcome their fears and confidently guiding them through the jump lines.

Cailin Carrier our WFM Bike sponsored rider cruising through the black line at the Whistler dirt jump park after some direction from Marcel. The Resort Municipality of Whistler put some maintenance into the jumps during the spring and they were running great.

Here Tanya Bastian gets a high five, from Lynne Armstrong for stepping up to the black line. Lynne created Air Maiden, UK, and came out to share her knowledge with the ladies. She is a valuable asset to the WFMbike team.

Running the Trek Dirt series since 2001 , Candace Shadley has definitely had hand in growing the ladies biking community. Thanks for coming out to support growth in the freestyle scene!!

SRAM/ROCKSHOX were quick to jump on board and Carolyn Kavanagh is stoked they did. Walking away with the RochShox Dj Pike fork!! I hear there is a new bike build in her future. :) Angi Weston aka Hip Hop Hippie, Worlds Best Coach, and Vanna White helps showcase the goods. The stoke is real!

Someone is going to be enjoying the summer a lot more with this Liv hat, great for trail building or the beach!! The prizes flowed freely with swag from SRAM, RockShox, Bike park tickets from Whistler Bike Park (Yep, that’s right they hooked the ladies dj scene up!!), Five Ten, Fox Racing Canada, Sombrio, Chromag, Liv Cycling Canada, Clif, Coastal Culture, Evolution Bike Shop, Live to Play Sports, WFMbike, and Tag Cycling.

Nikkay Way rode the big and little bikes at the event and threw down some 360’s on both and rode the resi ramp. Sorry I don’t have pictures, this was more of a lets ride and progress event, then stop and take pictures for the ‘gram’ type jam. :)

The fork is in the mail!! Lauren Lipsius was more than happy to hear those words!!
