Whistler Sessions Clinic #3 Recap

Dirt jumps bringing happy people together. Sunny weather and keen ladies was a perfect mix for a progression session. The final clinic with off without a hitch and I can’t believe what a great season we had.

Like always we started with a warm up and then jump right into the basics. The progression at the Whistler dirt jump park works perfectly. Beginning on the rollers and moving onto the green line, and ending with blue or black, depending on ability. Cherie pictured above is working on her pressure control.

Bunny hop skills lesson, a foundation maneuver that is key to dirt jumping. Lara and Meryl look on as I bunny hop between the sticks, timing is key with this one.

Kendra railing berms and working on her turns in the pump track, this is the best way to become a better rider and jumper.

Serena, a local shredder came out to play on the jumps with us. If you’re new to dirt jumping or haven’t dirt jumped in a while, it’s a big mental game to hit gap jumps, so we warmed up on the green line.

Lynne Armstrong, the original Air Maiden, demonstrates how to ride the blue line at the Whistler dirt jumps. Lynne is one of those ladies that can not ride in a while and still send all the jumps with style! Her sweet WFMbike tank top makes her look even more badass!!
